Cleveland –  Team Cleveland Main Street announced today that they will offer five $500 matching façade grants with money raised from Cleveland Bites Food Festival.

This is the second year Team Cleveland has offered façade grants.  Last year, Team Cleveland granted four $500 grants to area businesses. “The façade grant we received along with design assistance from Randy Wilson with Mississippi Main Street enabled us to transform the appearance of our business,” said Heather Robinson, owner of Heidi’s and President of the Team Cleveland Main Street Board.

Funds for the façade grant program are raised each year during Cleveland Bites Food Festival, which is an event held downtown that offers visitors a chance to try samples from area restaurants.

This year’s façade grant program will put a priority on projects that involve the replacement of awnings.  The Team Cleveland Façade Grant program is a competitive grant program and is open to all Team Cleveland members.  Applications are due on Friday, January 15th, 2016.  Awards will be announced on February 8th.

For more information about the Team Cleveland Façade Grant program, call the Chamber at 662-843-2712.

Team Cleveland Main Street under the umbrella of the Cleveland Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce, is the Keep Cleveland Beautiful affiliate for Keep America Beautiful. Throughout the year, several events are hosted by KCB to reduce litter and beautify our community.  The largest event is the Great American Cleanup held each April where hundreds of volunteers work to beautify our city.
